PERMEATION TUBES
The permeation tube is a small container made of inert polymeric material, filled with a pure chemical compound in equilibrium between its gas and liquid or solid phase. At a constant temperature, the device releases the compound through its permeable wall at a stable and controlled rate. Inserted into a carrier gas flow with a regulated flow rate, the permeation tube enables the generation of reference mixtures with precise concentrations, used for calibrating gas analyzers, testing hazardous gas alarms, and studying the effects of specific substances on materials or biological systems. Thanks to its reliability and stability, it is ideal for any application requiring a constant concentration of a trace chemical compound. Available permeation rates typically range from 20 ng/min to 500 µg/min, allowing for concentrations from ppb up to high ppm levels.
WaferCal®
Wafer-Cal® devices are designed with a small permeable window, a feature that results in permeation rates lower by an order of magnitude compared to other permeation devices.
This configuration makes them particularly suitable for handling gases with high vapor pressure at standard permeation temperatures, which cannot be contained within a conventional tubular device.
To ensure maximum compatibility and versatility, Wafer-Cal® devices are available in various configurations, allowing seamless integration with calibrators from different manufacturers, thereby ensuring optimal adaptability for diverse analytical and calibration applications.

S-WaferCal®
S-Wafer-Cal® is designed with a compact permeable window, which significantly reduces permeation rates-up to an order of magnitude lower than standard permeation devices.
This unique configuration makes it particularly well-suited for handling high-vapor-pressure gases at standard permeation temperatures, which conventional tubular devices cannot effectively contain.
To maximize compatibility and flexibility, S-Wafer-Cal® is available in multiple configurations, ensuring seamless integration with calibrators from various manufacturers and providing optimal adaptability for a wide range of analytical and calibration applications.

MLCal®

TubularCal
The Tubular-Cal device is a sealed cylinder with a permeable membrane, containing the reference gas in equilibrium between its phases.
The release of the compound occurs through controlled diffusion across the permeable wall of the tube, along the entire active section between the sealed terminals.
The permeation rate can be adjusted based on geometric and structural parameters, such as the active length and the thickness of the permeable membrane, allowing for a wide modulation of the compound release flow.
Our tubular permeation devices are available with active lengths up to 18 cm, ensuring high stability for calibration applications and precise generation of reference gas mixtures.

ELCal®
The EL-Cal® device is an advanced configuration of the Tubular-Cal system, integrated with a hermetically sealed stainless steel reservoir, specifically designed to ensure a stable reserve of the permeant compound and a controlled release over time.
This optimized architecture maintains a permeation profile equivalent to that of a Tubular-Cal device, but with a significantly extended operational lifespan, reducing the frequency of replacement and enhancing system reliability in calibration applications and the generation of reference gas mixtures.

BTEXCal®
BTEX-Cal® type permeation tubes are designed for the controlled release of aromatic compounds, such as benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes. These devices have extremely compact dimensions, with a diameter of 16.4 mm and a length of 16.0 mm.
These tubes are particularly useful for the calibration of air pollutant analyzers, providing a stable and precise source of tracer gases to ensure reliable environmental measurements. Versatile and adaptable, they can be used simultaneously in the same oven to generate customized gas mixture.

E-SPANCal®
The "Easy Span" permeation tube is an innovative solution designed to operate at room temperature, ensuring a controlled and stable permeation rate. Unlike other permeation tubes, it features a low emission rate with a linear dependence on temperature, making it particularly suitable for applications requiring precise generation of low-concentration gas mixtures.
To adjust the permeation rate and achieve a known gas mixture, the tube can be immersed in a thermostatic bath, allowing for optimal control of operating conditions.
The "Easy Span" is compatible with a wide range of organic substances that are liquid at room temperature, including deuterated compounds, with permeation rates ranging from nanograms per minute (ng/min) to micrograms per minute (μg/min).
Each tube is supplied with a ¼-inch Swagelok® tee fitting for secure integration into calibration systems, along with a detailed calibration certificate, including a graph of permeation rate versus temperature within the 16 - 25°C range, ensuring reliability and traceability in analytical processes.
